    The shift

Why are couples choosing smaller rooftop weddings?

Because a rooftop wedding gives you privacy and the iconic NYC skyline views. The money you spend goes toward the experience, not a 150-seat banquet. The numbers back it up.

After 11 years planning intimate weddings across New York, I found that privacy and the view are the new luxuries. Nothing beats a private rooftop with the iconic NYC skyline behind you — it’s the perfect backdrop for a ceremony. We keep it to 30 guests or fewer on purpose, to keep it intimate and personal.

    New York City

Rooftop wedding venues in New York City

As a company based in New York, we know how important it is to find a place that shows the city from its best angle and represents the couple’s spirit. New York skyline views are absolutely breathtaking, and if you’re looking for a wedding venue with picturesque views, a rooftop is your go-to option. There are many rooftop wedding venues in New York, and depending on the size of the wedding and your view preferences we can recommend the location — which varies from a luxury penthouse with a private terrace to an urban rooftop with the water tank and the Empire State Building view. When choosing the rooftop it’s important to know whether you want a specific iconic building in your pictures, such as the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge or the Central Park view, or you’re simply after a city view. For a rooftop wedding in Manhattan you can choose between a gorgeous private rooftop garden with a 5th Avenue view or a Statue of Liberty view terrace, from a historic downtown rooftop to modern Hudson Yards terraces. Most of the venues have a reception area as well, so you can get married on a rooftop and then celebrate at the same location. All of our rooftop wedding packages include the ceremony of your style, an officiant, flowers and a photographer.

    Rooftop wedding venues in Brooklyn

The Brooklyn area has the most incredible view of the Manhattan skyline, which is why many couples choose this neighborhood for their special day. Unlike the hectic city, Brooklyn is quieter and has many authentic venues. As you go through rooftop wedding ideas in Brooklyn you can choose between grand warehouses, rooftop farms and quiet townhouse rooftops. The area combines pre-war buildings with huge ceilings and vast urban terraces with Brooklyn Bridge views. A short walk to the waterfront has made the DUMBO area one of the most desirable locations for a small wedding in New York. Williamsburg is another great Brooklyn neighborhood, perfect for chic weddings — its glass rooftops and proximity to the city make it ideal for micro weddings and intimate ceremonies. We believe weddings should be affordable and stress-free, which is why Dare to Dream is the one-stop shop: all of our rooftop wedding packages in Brooklyn include your choice of ceremony style, an officiant, flowers and a photographer. All you need to worry about is arriving at the spot and enjoying your special day.

Getting married in New York is a dream-come-true experience, and getting married on a private rooftop in New York is beyond any expectation. There is something truly magical in these views, and sharing them with your partner is something you’ll both remember forever. Whether you’re a visitor or a true New Yorker, we can help you find the rooftop wedding venue of your dreams and organize your wedding the way you want it. We dream big.
