Probably one of the most beautiful places in Central Park, the Belvedere Castle is folly and contains exhibit rooms and an observation deck, and since 1919, has also housed the official Central Park weather station. Its name comes from belvedere, which means “beautiful view” in Italian. Overlooking the stunning turtle pond, this castle is anything but magical and usually the first choice for the couples to get married at.
Francisco and Maria told us right away that they want this location for their ceremony and we were so happy they did choose this spot. You can find two covered towers on the terrace, that are perfect for the small ceremonies. It is also a perfect shelter from the rain and sun. We chose the biggest tower for our ceremony, which was overlooking the pond.
The ceremony was a perfect mix of laughter and tears and after the couple said “I do” all friends and family ran to them to congratulate.
Congratulations Francisco and Maria on your big day!
